Sophos XG Firewall: SSID time-based schedule behavior
Overview
This article outlines behavior on the Sophos XG Firewall regarding configured SSID time-based schedules.
Applies to the following Sophos products and versions
Sophos Firewall
Impact
When a time-based schedule is configured on a SSID:
- When the schedule is activated, all SSIDs are dropped and clients connected to them are disconnected.
- This affects all SSIDs, even those that do not have a time based schedule.
This behavior is being improved in a future release.
What to do
This is currently expected behavior. Affected users can configure a firewall rule with source networks for those of the SSID(s) that should have enabled access.
Note: This prevents traffic from traversing the XG and not actually the WiFi network. SSID(s) will still be broadcasted.
